"When You're Gone" is the announced second official single from the 2007 album The Best Damn Thing by Avril Lavigne.Bet Every1 had heard her Punky 1st single Girlfriend but tis song is more of a power ballad with a piano and synth introduction. Lavigne has said the song "is about being with someone you love, and you have to say goodbye, and all the little things you miss about them". The song may have been inspired by Lavigne's husband, Deryck Whibley, lead singer frm sum 41.
